There is also a contemporary bathroom which includes a bath which is set along a fabulous feature slate wall, with monsoon shower over, a basin, WC and LED sensor mirror. To the front of Greengarth there is private parking for two cars and to the rear there is a large patio area with table and chairs making it the ideal spot to relax with a glass of wine, morning coffee or dinner on a summers evening and beyond a pretty, lawned, cottage garden with herbaceous borders and mature shrubs.

Keswick is a friendly market town who’s twice weekly market recently won the coveted ‘Best Outdoor Market’ award. There’s also a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and outdoor clothing. There’s also a delicious range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars, and a quirky 100-year-old Alhambra Cinema, offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings, or enjoy some live theatre or music at the Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater. Beautiful Derwentwater offers serene lake cruises, rowboat hire and paddle board activities. Nearby you are spoilt for choice with walks up Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horseshoe and Blencathra or Latrigg for a lovely easy walk with a view. Ashness Bridge and Surprise View a short drive away above the Borrowdale Valley should not be missed; nor should the unspoilt village of Watendlath.
