This unusual property, complete with an open fire, is in a beautiful area of Scotland and close to Balmoral.. This most attractive, Victorian, detached baronial gatehouse is situated just off the road between Aberdeen and Balmoral and offers gracious living in the heart of Royal Deeside.

Dess Lodge is a fabulous Scottish property, very spacious and well equipped.
It is very near a main road but the traffic noise did not bother us.
The property could benefit from an outside light that is motion sensitive as the access to the property is concealed and there is no street lighting.

Great holiday in this lovely house. There is some road noise as per previous reviews, but we did not find this obtrusive. The house has everything you need and was well kitted out. We would recommend

Very charming lodge, full of baronial Scottish character. Very warm and comfortable. Great walking on the doorstep. Lots to see locally. Many castles and stately homes nearby.
